Donatella Versace is embarking on a new business venture, announcing a partnership with REVOLVE Group, a New York-listed American digital fashion retailer. The collaboration will establish a new fashion and beauty business targeting a young consumer audience.

According to Reuters, the move comes amid changes at the Versace fashion house following its acquisition by the luxury group Prada in 2025 for approximately €1.3 billion ($1.5 billion). This partnership allows Donatella Versace to operate in a new business arena alongside the brand's relaunch under its new ownership.

Digital Innovation and Youth Focus

The venture will operate via a new online platform, combining Donatella's creative vision with REVOLVE's digital capabilities. The collaboration bridges decades of Versace's influence in fashion, music, entertainment, and pop culture with REVOLVE's digital strategy and global community.

"This partnership represents a bold step into the digital-first retail landscape while honoring our rich cultural heritage," industry analysts noted regarding the new enterprise.

Strategic Shifts and Leadership

For Donatella, this marks a new chapter after years of close association with the family fashion house. At 71, she served as creative director of Versace—founded by her late brother Gianni Versace—until March 2025, subsequently transitioning to chief brand ambassador.

REVOLVE reported sales of €1.2 billion ($1.4 billion) last year, positioning itself as a next-generation fashion retailer focused primarily on Millennials and Generation Z consumers.
