DJ Khaled photographed with an Israeli and faced backlash: "You are a disgrace to Palestinians"

American producer and DJ Khaled, born to parents of Palestinian descent, has become one of the most prominent figures in hip-hop and pop music. However, throughout three years of war, he has not expressed any support or solidarity with either side of the conflict. This fact alone has sparked anger among many Palestinians and their supporters, who have accused the musician of turning his back on them.

Now, the DJ has again drawn criticism after being photographed with Israeli jeweler Avi Hiaeve, who operates in New York and Miami. Pro-Palestinian pages on social media were quick to share the joint photo of the two showing off luxury watches, leading to an immediate wave of negative reactions.

"Someone tell Khaled that time in hell passes slowly," wrote one commenter. Another added: "Wow, your people are being destroyed and this is your reaction."

Another user declared: "Khaled is a disgrace not only to Palestinians but also to Americans who have a conscience." Some went further, using AI-generated illustrations to depict the musician as someone who eats while Palestinian children are starving to death.

Khaled's lack of solidarity has also drawn sharp reactions from prominent figures in American hip-hop. Drake, who expressed solidarity with the Palestinians and signed a ceasefire petition back in October 2023, took a jab at the veteran DJ on his latest album, ICEMAN:

"Khaled, you know what I'm talking about - your people are still waiting for you to call to free Palestine, but apparently not everything is black and white and red and green."

Khaled, for his part, has consistently chosen not to respond despite attempts to confront him. In a video uploaded by a streamer, he is seen being pressed to say "Free Palestine," to which he responded with a general, non-committal message: "Peace and love to everybody."
