Heavy loss in the legal world: Senior attorney passed away at 56
Eran Prezenti, partner and head of the intellectual property practice at the Firon law firm, died over the weekend of cardiac arrest. For over two decades, he dealt with copyrights, patents, and trademarks, and was also involved in battles against the distribution of pirated content.
A heavy loss in the Israeli legal world: Attorney Eran Prezenti, partner and head of the intellectual property practice at the Firon law firm, passed away over the weekend at the age of 56 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Prezenti was considered a veteran attorney in the field of intellectual property, which he practiced for over two decades.
Throughout his career, Prezenti represented Israeli and international companies, media and content organizations, creators, inventors, and artists. His areas of practice included copyrights, patents, trademarks, and designs, alongside managing legal disputes in the field of intellectual property.
Since 2011, Prezenti served as the legal advisor for Zira, which works to protect copyrights online. As part of his activities, he was involved in a series of proceedings against the distribution of pirated content, including the legal battle against the "Sdarot" website. In addition, from 2015, he served as co-chair of the Intellectual Property Committee at the Israel Bar Association.
At the Firon firm, colleagues eulogized Prezenti and emphasized his place in the firm's family:
"Eran, a man of noble soul, was a significant part of the Firon family, a friend and a partner on the path."
It was further noted that colleagues and friends at the firm are grieving the loss and sharing in the sorrow of his family.
Prezenti is survived by his wife Lara and his children Liam, Mika, and Daniel. His funeral will take place on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 17:00 at the cemetery in Even Yehuda. Attorney Zvi Firon eulogized him:
"We lost today a dear friend, a valued partner, and a very special person."
