How Danit Greenberg's Financial Struggle Almost Led Her to 'Survivor'
Influencer Danit Greenberg revealed she almost joined Survivor for financial reasons following her divorce, but canceled after the pandemic boosted her social media career.

Danit Greenberg, one of Israel's most prominent and beloved digital influencers, recently shared a surprising piece of her past with her hundreds of thousands of followers. Known for her candidness and self-deprecating humor, Greenberg reflected on how a difficult financial period following her highly publicized divorce almost led her to participate in the grueling reality show Survivor.
Speaking to her audience amid the launch of a new season of the show, Greenberg revealed that she was once on the verge of heading to the remote island for the sake of the substantial paycheck. "After my divorce from Eliav Ozan, my financial situation was really at rock bottom," she shared. "My parents were even paying for a small studio apartment for me in Ramat HaSharon, and all my money was going toward lawyer fees."
Faced with mounting financial pressures and media buzz surrounding her split, Greenberg received a lucrative offer from the show's production team. Despite knowing the format was completely unsuited for her pampered lifestyle at the time, she agreed. "I'm terrified of flies, okay? And I barely eat anything, I was at the peak of my pampering back then... but I said yes because I needed the money," she admitted.
However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic completely altered her trajectory. As filming was postponed repeatedly, Greenberg pivoted to digital content creation, where she successfully found her voice, built a massive audience, and began generating substantial income through social media. By the time filming was finally given the green light, her financial survival was no longer dependent on the show, prompting her to cancel her participation.
Looking back, Greenberg expressed immense relief over her decision, acknowledging that her aversion to harsh conditions and bugs would likely have made her an early exit. Today, bypassing the island adventure has proven to be a lucrative turning point, allowing her to cement her status as a thriving digital entrepreneur.
