Actor Dan Turgeman Spotted in Tel Aviv Ahead of Prison Sentence
Actor Dan Turgeman was spotted in Tel Aviv following his sentencing to ten months in prison for tax evasion, with his reporting date set for March 2027.
Shortly after being convicted of tax evasion exceeding three million shekels and sentenced to ten months in actual prison, actor Dan Turgeman was spotted by paparazzi in central Tel Aviv. The 67-year-old actor was walking with his eldest son, 31-year-old musician Liam, along Ahad Ha'Am Street.
Turgeman appeared visibly preoccupied, smoking a cigarette as he walked and continuing to smoke even after sitting down at a local cafe. While he certainly noticed the cameras, he chose to ignore them completely as his reality undergoes a dramatic shift ahead of his scheduled reporting date on March 1, 2027.
The conviction stems from offenses committed between 2008 and 2017, involving omitted income from real estate entrepreneurship and apartment rentals. Following a plea bargain, the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court initially sentenced him to community service, but an appeal by the state prosecutor's office resulted in the sentence being upgraded to actual imprisonment.
