Crypto Market Rebounds With Stable Gains Amid Record Platform Recovery
Major cryptocurrencies post stable gains as markets recover from a historic breach. Binance Coin leads alternative assets despite $6.3 billion stolen, with recovery efforts progressing.

The cryptocurrency market shows a predominantly positive trend, with major coins posting stable gains following a historic platform breach. Bitcoin trades at $77,906, marking a moderate daily increase of 0.67% and a total market capitalization of approximately $1.57 trillion. Ethereum follows with a 0.79% daily gain, settling at $2,267.25 with a market cap of $277.01 billion.
Among alternative assets, Binance Coin (BNB) registered the sharpest daily climb at 1.59%, reaching $714.57 with a market capitalization of $93.97 billion. This recovery unfolds in the shadow of a record-breaking crypto heist that targeted the exchange days prior. Meanwhile, XRP posted a modest increase of 0.38%, trading at $1.2512 with a market cap of $79.27 billion.
The stablecoin sector maintained near-total stability with fractional downward movements. Tether USDT traded at $0.9986 following a negligible 0.03% dip, boasting a market cap of $179.87 billion, while USDC traded at $0.9996 down 0.02%, holding a market capitalization of $71.52 billion.
Recovery Efforts and Impact on Israeli Firms
Trading continues in the aftermath of the largest cryptocurrency robbery in history, which occurred over the weekend when hackers breached a company engineer's computer, siphoning digital assets valued at approximately $6.3 billion. In response, the exchange temporarily halted withdrawals while accelerating recovery efforts.
The platform reported covering roughly 90% of the stolen assets, achieving a full 100% coverage across the ten major traded currencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB. Anticipation for the resumption of withdrawals extends to Israel, where approximately $2.5 million linked to the Israeli crypto firm Tectona, its chairman, and an affiliated trader remain frozen pending final release authorization.
