A blow to United Torah Judaism: Petition to stop the 'HaTzibur HaChareidi' faction campaign rejected
Judge Noam Sohlberg rejected the United Torah Judaism petition and determined that there is no cause for issuing an injunction against the outdoor campaign of the 'HaTzibur HaChareidi' faction. United Torah Judaism claimed that the campaign is misleading and makes illegal use of the letter 'Gimel' and the branding identified with it. 'HaTzibur HaChareidi' stated: "Frivolous lawsuits will not silence our voice."
Chairman of the Central Elections Committee Judge Noam Sohlberg dismissed a petition filed by a number of lawyers and the United Torah Judaism party against the outdoor advertising campaign of the 'HaTzibur HaChareidi' ('The Ultra-Orthodox Public') faction. In the petition, the petitioners requested to stop the campaign, claiming that it misleads the public and makes illegal use of the letter 'Gimel' (G) and the graphic style identified with United Torah Judaism.
In the decision issued after examining the respondents' reply, it was determined that there is no cause for issuing an injunction against the campaign. Therefore, the petition was dismissed, and United Torah Judaism was not granted any relief or restriction on the activities of 'HaTzibur HaChareidi'.

Following the decision, the 'HaTzibur HaChareidi' faction clarified that the campaign and the demand for representation are continuing as planned, in accordance with the law and with the approval of their legal advisors. The 'HaTzibur HaChareidi' party, led by Motti Leitner, is currently in the midst of an extensive campaign. According to them, the goal is to obtain a place in the existing ultra-Orthodox lists — United Torah Judaism and Shas.
United Torah Judaism explained the obvious: there is no chance they will receive a seat at the table. However, the current game from their perspective is a show of force — an attempt by the players to prove they are worth a mandate, ahead of a possible connection to another existing party on the right.
The 'HaTzibur HaChareidi' faction stated:
"Empty threats and frivolous lawsuits will not silence our voice — the tens of thousands of ultra-Orthodox who are not represented by the old leadership. We will not stand idly by when there is a real threat to the continued existence of the ultra-Orthodox public in the Land of Israel. There are no ultra-Orthodox parties without the ultra-Orthodox public."
