Management Perspective
Yossi Schwartz, founder and CEO of City Market, stated: "At this time of year, following the holidays and the return to routine, household expenses become a significant part of the family budget. Therefore, it was important for us to launch a broad campaign featuring dozens of discounts in categories consumers encounter on almost every shopping trip."
"We want to give consumers the opportunity to shop smartly, choose from a wide range of familiar products and brands, and pay less. Good pricing is an integral part of the shopping experience we want to provide, especially in a period when every saving at the checkout matters," Schwartz added.
Founded in 2012 by Yossi Schwartz, City Market currently employs around 900 people and is undergoing rapid expansion. Most branches remain open late hours, with some operating 24/7. The executive team includes Deputy CEO Hezi Hadiv, VP of Business Development Gal Mizrahi, VP of Technological Development Itay Shish, and Matok Shuk Division Manager Beni Ben Avraham.
