A major recall has been issued in Israel for several imported dark chocolate products due to an undeclared milk allergen. Better Choice Ltd., which distributes products from Xros Ltd., announced the voluntary recall following a consumer complaint regarding Russian-made Pobeda Confectionery chocolates.

The recall affects four varieties of 100-gram dark chocolate bars imported from Russia: Cote d'Ivoire 60% (barcode 4610082664050, expiration date Nov 18, 2027), Ghana 67% (barcode 4610082664067, expiration date Oct 25, 2027), Colombia 80% (barcode 4610082664074, expiration date Dec 6, 2027), and Dominicana 77% (barcode 4610082664081, expiration date Dec 6, 2027).

Health authorities warn that the presence of unlabeled milk poses a severe health risk, particularly for individuals with dairy allergies, vegans, and those consuming pareve products who rely on accurate labeling. Consuming these chocolates could trigger dangerous allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

The company is coordinating with the Ashkelon district food service of the Ministry of Health to pull the items from store shelves nationwide. Consumers possessing these products are urged not to consume them and can contact the company or point of purchase for a full refund.
