Channel 14 Poll Shows Bennett Gaining Ground as Netanyahu Widens Lead
A Channel 14 poll shows right-wing and center-left political blocs holding steady at 63 and 45 mandates, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expands his lead.
A new Channel 14 poll published on Monday indicates internal shifts among political blocs, though the overall balance of power remains unchanged. The right-wing bloc maintains 63 mandates, the center-left bloc holds 45, and the Arab parties retain 12 seats in the Knesset.
Party Shifts and Mandate Distribution
According to the survey, if elections were held today, the Likud party would secure 31 mandates—a slight drop of one mandate compared to the previous poll. Meanwhile, the Yashar! party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, drops from 22 to 21 seats, and Shas decreases from 11 to 10 mandates.
"The survey reflects dynamic changes within the political blocs, while the fundamental distribution of power between coalitions remains stable," analysts noted.
Conversely, the BeYachad list, headed by Naftali Bennett, registers the most significant growth, jumping by two seats from 7 to 9 mandates. The Democrats remain steady with 9 seats, while United Torah Judaism rises to 8 and Otzma Yehudit climbs to 7 mandates.
Suitability for Premiership
When examining voter preferences for prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu widened his lead against challengers. Among the four candidates tested, 53% of respondents view Netanyahu as most suitable for the premiership, marking a one-point increase from the prior survey.
Gadi Eisenkot received 32% support, down two points, while Naftali Bennett slipped to 10% and Avigdor Lieberman rose to 5%. Consequently, the gap between Netanyahu and Eisenkot expanded from 18 to 21 percentage points in the multi-candidate breakdown.
