Vandalism at Brooklyn Subway Station

Two masked anti-Israel activists caused extensive damage at a subway station in the Brooklyn borough of New York last week, targeting ticket machines over alleged ties between the manufacturing company and the Israeli military. According to reports in the New York Post, the incident occurred during the afternoon at the Church Avenue station in Flatbush.

Footage posted on social media showed one suspect using a drill and heavy tools to smash touchscreen displays, while an accomplice dressed in black sprayed paint over security cameras to blind them. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority faced significant financial losses, with NYPD sources estimating the damage at approximately $18,200.

Political Motives and Anti-Israel Protests

Beyond the physical destruction, the perpetrators left behind flyers explaining their motives. One flyer accused the payment system of tracking passenger movements, while the second focused on the parent company of the OMNY project, Cubic Corporation, protesting its alleged commercial ties with Israel's defense establishment.

"Every time you swipe, you are sending money to war profiteers. Stop the genocide. Free Palestine," read the text left at the crime scene.

The New York Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident, examining potential links to other recent anti-Israel vandalism across the city. Transit authorities reported that the damaged payment machines were repaired and restored to service shortly after the attack.
