Unprecedented leap: IAI's order backlog soared to $35 billion
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) concludes the second quarter and the first half of 2026 with the highest results in its history. Net profit for the half-year jumped to $449 million, and sales reached $4.275 billion.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has published its financial reports for the second quarter and the first half of 2026, presenting the highest business results in the company's history. The reports show an unprecedented leap in the company's order backlog, which climbed to $35 billion, representing about 4.7 years of activity, compared to $29 billion at the end of 2025.
The company's net profit in the first half of the year jumped by 40% to $449 million, compared to $320 million in the same period last year. In the second quarter alone, the company recorded a 47% growth in net profit, reaching $229 million compared to $156 million in the corresponding quarter. This is the most profitable quarter and half-year since the company's inception.
Sales volume in the first half of the year totaled $4,275 million, compared to $3,228 million in the same period last year. In the second quarter, sales rose to $2,189 million, compared to $1,618 million in the corresponding quarter. Furthermore, a 39% growth in EBITDA was recorded for the half-year to $650 million (about 15% of sales), while EBITDA in the second quarter rose to $329 million.
Operating profit in the first half increased by 53% to $483 million (about 11% of sales), compared to $315 million in the same period, while second-quarter operating profit reached $244 million. Gross profit for the half-year totaled $806 million, climbing to $432 million in the second quarter. IAI's cash balances and liquid assets remain robust at approximately $4 billion.
