LivePerson, a leading provider of Conversational AI solutions that enable predictable performance, announced that its shareholders have voted to approve the acquisition deal by SoundHound AI. The approval was received during a special meeting of shareholders held on Wednesday.

LivePerson, which facilitates nearly a billion messages per month for leading global brands through its Conversational Cloud and Syntrix platforms, is now approaching the final stage of the transaction. The completion of the acquisition is expected as early as September 4, 2026, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. The final voting results will be reported in a Form 8-K to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

John Sabino, CEO of LivePerson, welcomed the results and stated:

«We are pleased with the results of the special meeting and thank our shareholders for their support. We are now one step closer to joining forces with SoundHound AI to strengthen our position in the field of Conversational AI and to better position the combined company to serve customers at scale.»

Sabino added that the company looks forward to working closely with the SoundHound AI team to complete the transaction and realize the potential for significant value creation for shareholders. LivePerson is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and its stock has jumped by 65.17% over the past month.
