The National Insurance Institute of Israel has published the updated benefit payment and reporting schedules for October 2026, returning to regular distribution dates after the holiday-heavy month of September.
Beneficiaries and insured individuals in Israel can prepare in advance as the National Insurance Institute (Bituach Leumi) releases the updated benefit distribution and reporting schedules for October 2026. Unlike September, which featured numerous schedule changes due to the holidays, payment dates this coming month return to their regular schedule.
The first to receive their monthly benefits will be unemployment and income support recipients, whose accounts will be credited on Monday, October 12. A few days later, on Tuesday, October 20, child allowances will be paid, with the base amount for the first child standing at approximately 169 NIS.
The main payment date for long-term benefit recipients—including general disability, old-age, survivor, nursing care, and disabled child allowances—is set for Wednesday, October 28. In 2026, the full general disability allowance for a single person stands at 4,711 NIS, while the basic old-age allowance for an individual is 1,838 NIS, reaching up to approximately 2,757 NIS including maximum seniority increments.
Alongside the credit dates, another crucial deadline for employers, the self-employed, and non-working individuals is Thursday, October 15, which marks the mandatory reporting and payment date for National Insurance and health tax contributions, including the quarterly payment for non-working individuals. It is recommended to organize accordingly to ensure timely reporting.
