Bitcoin opened October with a positive signal as U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded a net capital inflow of $102.7 million on the first trading day of the month, reversing a $148.7 million outflow from the previous day. Total assets under management reached $109.3 billion, while cumulative inflows since launch hit $57.6 billion.

October is historically regarded by crypto proponents as a bullish month, often dubbed "Uptober" by investors anticipating upward price trends.

Despite the positive single-day flow, analysts note it does not guarantee a sustained rally. The figures follow a strong third quarter in which Bitcoin ETFs pulled in approximately $6.34 billion, including $2.65 billion in September alone, alongside a 42.7% quarterly price surge. At the time of reporting, Bitcoin traded around $85,900, following a 2.1% gain over the preceding 24 hours.

The broader crypto market showed mixed sentiment. Spot Ethereum ETFs registered $55.4 million in outflows on Thursday, marking a third consecutive day of withdrawals totaling roughly $118 million. Solana-backed funds shed about $6 million, whereas XRP products attracted $4 million in inflows.

Investors continue to monitor fund flows, U.S. macroeconomic data, and interest rate decisions to determine whether the current recovery will expand into a wider market trend.
