Israel Declares 2,615 Dunams of State Land in Binyamin for Expansion
Israel declares 2,615 dunams in western Binyamin as state land to expand the Kerem Reim and Nehaliel communities, enabling thousands of new housing units.

Israel has declared 2,615 dunams of land in the western Binyamin region as state property, paving the way for the expansion of the Kerem Reim and Nehaliel communities. The decision follows years of staff work led by the Settlement Administration in coordination with the Civil Administration.
The formal declaration will enable the planning and development of thousands of new housing units in both localities, expanding regional land reserves. The initiative is part of a broader strategic master plan for the western Binyamin area, which encompasses residential growth, infrastructure development, and regional services.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich hailed the move as a strategic milestone for settlement development, stating that the new land reserves will help address housing shortages for young families.
«We are building and expanding in the face of political challenges,» Smotrich stated, linking the land designation to broader governmental policies.
Binyamin Regional Council Head and Yesha Council Chairman Israel Gantz emphasized that the land declaration is part of an overarching strategy to strengthen the entire region. According to local officials, additional development plans are currently advancing to accommodate growing residential demand.
