Ben Gvir presents: A new ministry for Gaza emigration, fully funded by Israel
The chairman of Otzma Yehudit has presented the "Disengagement 710" outline, setting a target of nearly two million residents leaving the Gaza Strip within seven years, alongside an immediate demand for the establishment of a new government ministry.
The chairman of Otzma Yehudit, Itamar Ben Gvir, has presented a new political plan for the emigration of Gaza Strip residents, titled "Disengagement 710." In his remarks, the minister claimed that there are various countries willing to absorb residents of the Strip, alongside many among the local population who are interested in relocating.
According to the proposed outline, no departure of residents will take place without a pre-defined destination country, while maintaining the principle that families remain united. The plan stipulates that Israel will fund the complex project and provide direct payments to host countries for an extensive absorption package for the first two years. This package is intended to cover expenses related to housing, education, and employment.
The central target set by the chairman of Otzma Yehudit is the relocation of 1.86 million residents from the Strip over a period of seven years. In order to oversee the process and carry it out in an orderly manner, Ben Gvir demands the immediate establishment of a government immigration ministry.
According to him, the designated ministry will be managed by a minister and a professional project manager entrusted with overseeing the system. The Otzma Yehudit faction has clarified that they are prepared to take upon themselves the leadership of the ministry and the responsibility for executing the project.
