Itamar Ben Gvir Warns Ultra-Orthodox Factions Against Left-Wing Alliances
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir warned ultra-Orthodox parties against joining a center-left coalition, highlighting his party's electoral growth.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir issued a sharp warning to ultra-Orthodox factions, urging them not to yield to overtures from the center-left bloc regarding military enlistment exemptions.
In a detailed statement following the recent elections, the Otzma Yehudit leader cautioned Haredi leaders against trusting political rivals. He argued that the left is merely offering temporary compromises on conscription to build a governing coalition, despite having centered their campaign on fierce criticism of the ultra-Orthodox community.
Reflecting on the election results, Ben Gvir noted that Otzma Yehudit secured 326,634 votes and increased its parliamentary representation to seven mandates, making it the second-largest party within the right-wing bloc. He emphasized that the party successfully ran independently for the first time without external alliances.
Concluding his address, Ben Gvir reaffirmed his commitment to nationalist principles and vowed to continue defending Israeli security, combating terrorism, and challenging judicial authorities regardless of whether his party enters the coalition or the opposition.
