Beitar Jerusalem Agrees to Sign Winger Nana Kwame Gambla from Ironi Tiberias
Beitar Jerusalem has agreed to acquire Ironi Tiberias winger Nana Kwame Gambla for 550,000 shekels, with the player joining ahead of the 2027/28 season amid Tiberias's mounting financial crisis.

Beitar Jerusalem has reached an agreement to sign Ironi Tiberias winger Nana Kwame Gambla for 550,000 shekels. The 24-year-old Ivorian player will finish the current season in Tiberias and officially join the capital club ahead of the 2027/28 campaign, signing a three-year deal with an option for an additional season.
For Ironi Tiberias, the transfer provides crucial financial relief amid a severe administrative and economic crisis. The club is currently implementing a stringent recovery plan involving significant budget cuts and disciplinary hearings for eight staff members following a tumultuous period.
Tiberias has previously been penalized with a 14-point deduction across two seasons due to a dual-contract scandal and faced scrutiny over an intravenous infusion controversy. Furthermore, ongoing financial investigations into millions of shekels in alleged irregularities led to the dismissal of head coach Moti Krispil after just two months in charge, prompting a brief player strike during training.
Gambla arrived in Israel last summer after stints in Qatar, Ukraine, Slovenia, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Following a successful trial with Tiberias, the winger has scored one goal in seven Premier League appearances this season, drawing strong interest from Beitar Jerusalem.
