Hapoel Tel Aviv will meet Katowice tomorrow, Wednesday, for the second leg of the Conference League third qualifying round. The Reds won an impressive 2:0 in the first game and hope to complete the job on their way to a playoff round meeting against Atalanta.
Ahead of the game, Hapoel Tel Aviv coach Elyaniv Barda addressed the matchup in a press conference and clarified that as far as he is concerned, the result from the first meeting is already behind them: 'We have only passed half the competition between two excellent teams that are trying to play their best football. It will be a very difficult game, very intense, with the fans of Katowice, but we will do our best.'
Barda added: 'The previous game is history for us, what happened in it is no longer interesting as far as we are concerned, the game starts at 0:0. We will be very ready for this game. It will be difficult because their results at home are very good. It is impossible to know how the game will develop. We will try to improve the things that were not good enough; we can play better than in the first game. I believe we will do it excellently.'
Hapoel Tel Aviv defender Doron Leidner also spoke at the press conference: 'We will meet a good and very difficult team. We will need to give one hundred percent to qualify for the next stage. We analyzed the game that was and the game that will be, as always, we will do our best to improve.'
