Delegates from 28 countries, alongside Jewish community leaders and international representatives, gathered in Dublin for the international forum against antisemitism, organized by the World Jewish Congress (WJC) in cooperation with the European Commission.
A diplomatic breakthrough was marked by the first-ever participation of a United Arab Emirates representative, Maqsoud Kruse, who serves as the UAE Foreign Ministry's envoy for countering extremism and terrorism. Kruse participated in discussions alongside the U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism. During the summit, it was revealed that Armenia and three other nations are expected to join the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA).
Tech Giants and Political Meetings
Participants held working meetings at the European headquarters of TikTok and Meta in Dublin, addressing the use of advanced artificial intelligence tools to detect and remove offensive and antisemitic content. Jewish community leaders also met with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin against the backdrop of diplomatic tensions and security concerns for the local Jewish community.
Call to Action
Sara Friedman, CEO of WJC Israel and North America, emphasized the urgent need for governments to move from declarative solidarity to concrete actions, ensuring the safety and future of Jewish communities worldwide.
