Apple has officially launched its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, with devices hitting the market yesterday. However, early reports circulating on Reddit indicate that several users have already encountered broken screens and display malfunctions.

The reported issues follow a recurring pattern, centering on internal screen failures near the hinge area. Affected users describe abnormal bright lines appearing horizontally across the right side of the display alongside structural damage.

An Australian user shared their experience online, stating that the device broke within just six hours of unboxing after being opened fewer than twenty times. According to the customer, an unusual sensation near the internal hinge was followed by a distinct cracking sound during opening, resulting in a fractured screen along the crease without any external impact marks.

Numerous similar complaints have emerged from buyers worldwide. As of now, Apple has not issued an official statement regarding the hardware failures. Meanwhile, initial shipments to international markets, including several hundred units arriving in Israel, have sold out rapidly.
