Ahuva Alperon Sues Reshet 13 Over Reality Show Defamation
Ahuva Alperon has launched legal action against Reshet 13, demanding a public apology after her name was used as a metaphor for intimidation during the Power Couple finale.

The fallout from the reality show "Power Couple" grand finale continues as public figure, lecturer, and Doctor of Naturopathy Ahuva Alperon launches a direct legal front against Reshet 13, demanding a public apology for broadcasting a derogatory remark about her. Alperon shared the warning letter sent to the channel's management on social media, demanding the immediate removal of the segment from all digital platforms.
During the finale broadcast, singer Sharon Haziz leveled sharp accusations against finalist Adi Buzaglo, describing her behavior in the show while using Alperon's name as a metaphor for intimidation and fear. The comparison sparked immediate outrage at the time, prompting Alperon to respond with a sharp series of stories the morning after the broadcast, questioning the hypocrisy of using such language while teaching children about bullying and respect.
Legal Battle and Demands
While Haziz quickly apologized to Alperon on multiple occasions across social media and in media interviews, Reshet 13 maintained absolute silence for months. After Alperon's name was recently mentioned in another article surrounding the affair, she decided to publish the formal warning letter sent to the channel.
The letter emphasizes that since the broadcast was not live but a heavily edited show, the editors of Reshet 13 had full control over the content, yet chose to air the remark during prime time.
"I am still waiting for your response," Alperon wrote over a screenshot of the letter. "I will not allow defamation, bullying, and prejudices in prime time."
Overcoming a Complex Past
Alperon, best known as the widow of crime boss Yaakov Alperon, who was assassinated in 2008, has undergone a significant personal rehabilitation process over the past decade. After raising seven children in the shadow of her late husband's criminal activity, she completed a doctoral degree in naturopathy and medical philosophy, published an autobiography, participated in shows like "Game of Chefs," and became a popular lecturer and social media personality. Now, she is making it clear that she will not allow a major television network to use her name in criminal contexts without holding them accountable.
