MK Ahmad Tibi, head of the Ta'al party, addressed the absence of MK Moshe Gafni on Tuesday, the official deadline for submitting Knesset candidate lists, praising Gafni's long-standing attitude toward the Arab community throughout their years of joint parliamentary activity.

When asked to share his thoughts on Gafni, Tibi stated: "MK Moshe Gafni is one of the most decent members the Knesset has ever seen. Although he sits in the coalition and I am in the opposition, and there is a political abyss between us, he was never caught making a racist remark against the Arab public."

Tibi added that despite their political differences, Gafni has consistently shown a responsive approach to the needs of the Arab society over the years. "He showed empathy for the needs of the other, was determined to help his own constituency, but also showed understanding and empathy for the needs of our society," he said.

Later, when asked about Gafni's removal, Tibi responded with three harsh words: "Unfair, ugly, and inhumane."
