The two married in June 2023, nearly eight years after they first met on the set of the final episode of Mad Men in 2015. Shortly after their meeting, Hamm ended his two-decade relationship with actress Jennifer Westfeldt, and in 2020, he and Osceola made their romance official.
The happy news of the pregnancy marks a surprising change of heart for the actor, who for years publicly declared that he was child-free. In the past, Hamm shared that the trauma of losing his mother at age 10, combined with a party-filled lifestyle, led him to believe he lacked the "parenting gene" and that children were simply not for him.
However, his relationship with Osceola, along with therapy and personal growth in recent years, completely shifted his perspective. In past interviews, he noted that therapy allowed him to redefine happiness and family life:
"I hope it translates to kids. It's not lost on me that I'll be an older dad, but it could be a great thing."
